About the Author

Lee V. Xiong was born in 1982 in Nan, Thailand, to a refugee couple who fled communist Laos to Thailand. He came with his family to America in 1992 and was the first person in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree. Lee graduated from CSU, Stanislaus in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He is a teacher in California since 2007.
