The Urban Network Seeks Digitalized Future

Following a long hiatus, The Urban Network has rebranded for 2022 and re-imagined a digitalized future.

“Continually scaling up,” David Mitchell, co-president of The Urban Network, said. “Started as a simple music-focused business and grown into a larger entity. The Urban Network is a well-established brand in the music industry. By becoming more digitalized, to continually grow the business and meet our readers more easily where they are at—online.”

Digitalization provides technology to improve a business model by providing new revenue streams and value-added experiences for its target audiences.

Under the expert leadership and direction offered by Chairman and CEO, Lindsay Guión, and Co-President Mitchell, The Urban Network’s rebranding is anticipated to bring more services to its clientele.

“I had to put some things on the back burner,” Mitchell said. “This past year has been rough. I lost my mother last year, and I had some health challenges. The re-emergence and rebranding of The Urban Network is a new beginning. I look forward to partnering with Lindsay Guión with this enterprise.”

On Mar. 21, Lindsay and Mitchell announced that the first changes would occur.

For example, around the beginning of July, The Urban Network unveiled and officially launched new animated and print logos as part of the rebranding campaign. Each logo reflects a further aspect of the new diversified business plan.

“Exciting things are coming for 2023! Plans to create new and improved visual content for our readers,” Guión said. “The goal is to provide in-depth interviews with influencers and music trendsetters. Also, intend to provide a careful analysis of topics relevant to the music industry.”

“This is an exciting venture,” Mitchell explained. “Lindsay and I have been in the music industry a long time. The one thing learned is that change is necessary to stay relevant in today’s world. Musicians are constantly reinventing themselves, and so is the company. Wanting to become a full-service brand that caters to the whole entertainment industry.”

The Urban Network wants to branch into music, film, television, sports, fashion, politics, and real estate.

By 2023, The Urban Network will continue to organize networking events such as R&B Summit Conference, which is scheduled for this Fall. Other events are soon to follow in the upcoming months.
