San Antonio, TX – Étonnant Fleur, a local San Antonio media company, today announced a fundraising event for The Women Veteran’s of San Antonio (WVSA), a non-profit that serves, honors, and empowers female Veterans from all eras and branches of service in the United States. In an effort to recognize the incredible female Veterans in our community, they will be hosting a Great Gatsby Soiree on Friday, January 19th from 7 to 11PM at the Kendall Plantation in Boerne, Texas.
Étonnant Fleur has designed an elegant evening that celebrates the accomplishments of San Antonio’s best while raising money for their well-being. WVSA works tirelessly to provide homeless female Veterans with access to the resources they need to survive today.
“There’s no group more deserving in our country of support and community resources than female Veterans,” said Mike Johnson, Principal at Étonnant Fleur. “As a way to recognize these women and give them the support they deserve, we’re hosting our own Great Gatsby night in their honor, bringing excitement and celebration into the night.”
“We here at the Women Veterans of San Antonio (WVSA) are honored to be partnering with Étonnant Fleur for the Great Gatsby Soiree taking place on 19 January 2018,” said Robin D. Harder, President and Founder of WVSA. “Our mission is to serve, honor, and empower women Veterans from all eras and branches of service. This gala is providing an amazing opportunity for the community to not only have a 1920’s good time, but to also recognize and honor the WVSA for all of our efforts in supporting the Veteran community. We are ecstatic that Étonnant Fleur is donating a portion of all Early Bird ticket sales, and 100% of all Silent Auction sales to us. We look forward to having an elegant evening at the Kendall Plantation, taking a turn in the casino, dancing, and seeing all of the amazing donations to the Silent Auction.”
Since 2014, the WVSA has provided over 400 homeless female Veterans hygiene items and additional access to resources.
For those interested in attending the event, 1920s fashion and black tie is required for the evening. Attendees will be able to experience the casino and peruse a silent auction while sipping on prohibition era drinks. There will be a live band of swing beat music, with professional photography options. The night will then wrap up with a dance performance and fireworks, making it one event to remember. The totality of the silent auction and 20% of the ticket sales will be donated to the WVSA.
“All of the funds raised will go directly into the support of WVSA and the resources they can provide our female Veterans,” said Jordan Davis, Principal at Étonnant Fleur. “Through homeless support, to food and clothing, they are able to make a difference in the lives of women who deserve it. Private tables and sponsorships opportunities are available for the evening, and we are encouraging all men and women to attend this January.”
