The Center for China and Globalization Yangtze River Delta Research Center (CCG YRD Research Center) was officially established and settled in Fuchunshan Health City on Nov 8 in Tonglu county, Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province, during the 10th Hangzhou Tonglu Science and Technology Talent Week.

The center aims to help building Tonglu into an international exchange hub, bringing together cross-border resources such as international and domestic industry, research, academics, and business, in a bid to promote policy and industrial research, cultural exchanges, and professional training.
At the same day, the inaugural edition of the Fuchunjiang International Forum was held, focusing on the issues of common prosperity and green sustainable development.

“In recent years, Tonglu County has aimed to build a ‘highland for talents in the western suburbs of Hangzhou China, attracting talents by holding activities such as ‘Science and Technology Talent Week’, and establishing platforms such as ‘Fuchun Academician Village’. The Fuchunjiang International Forum is important for Tonglu to boost its innovation and strengthen its attractions to talents,” said Ding Yifeng, deputy secretary of the Tonglu County Party Committee, in his opening remarks of the Fuchunjiang International Forum.
As one of China’s most economically active, open and innovative regions, the Yangtze River Delta boasts strategic significance in the country’s modernization and further opening-up.
In the third year of the integrated regional development of the Yangtze River Delta becoming a national strategy, Fuchunjiang International Forum focused on further tapping Tonglu’s potentials in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
During the forum, the first panel focused on the construction of Tonglu’s path of the characteristic industrial system through the main areas of express logistics, health care, and tourism.
With Zhejiang building a demonstration zone for achieving common prosperity, Tonglu’s natural and human resources, the leading industries’ green sustainable development and innovative practices, the experts also discussed the demand for cooperation and business opportunities, which will enhance the new momentum of green development under the background of the digital economy and rural revitalization.
Wang Huiyao, president of CCG and Counselor to the State Council, pointed out that the Fuchunjiang International Forum could provide suggestions for the revitalization of Tonglu’s rural areas, green economy, and international exchanges and cooperation, provide more opportunities, and better enable Tonglu to give full play to its advantages.
