In the bustling heart of New York’s Soho district, a vibrant celebration of Ukrainian artistry is unfolding from November 4th to 12th. “Diamond Jam,” a dazzling art show that marks the grand opening of “The First Ukrainian Gallery US,” is taking its guests on a captivating journey through the works of 23 prominent and emerging artists, each sharing their unique stories.

“Diamond Jam” is a unique art event that has brought together Ukraine’s most brilliant artists, grounded in skill and creative mastery. They weave their stories on canvas, in stone, on textiles, and in clay, unveiling serenity and fearlessness, sensuality and virtue, disharmony and bliss. This opulent tapestry of beauty and emotions, rooted in rich Ukrainian background of its creators, leaves an indelible mark on every visitor’s heart and mind.

“Diamond Jam is a show that is fresh, spunky, and easy on the eyes. We wanted it to be brazen and dynamic. A show that would give the American audience a sense of novelty and impress even the pickiest of New Yorkers,” says Anna Blinokhvatova, the PR Manager of the show.

What makes this exhibition truly exceptional is its star-studded lineup. The artists participating in “Diamond Jam” have achieved global recognition, with their works exhibited at renowned venues like the Venice Biennale Programme and the Design Museum of Barcelona. Some of the showcased works received high praise from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during an exhibition in Potsdam. One piece by a featured artist was even personally presented to Pope Francis by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine.

For its organizers, “Diamond Jam” represents more than just an artistic achievement. Their desire is to unveil the authentic Ukraine that lies beneath the news headlines. “Russia’s invasion turned our country into a headline, but Ukraine is so much more than just a constant news feed of battles and tragedies. Our homeland is a country bursting with creativity, passion, tenderness, tolerance, and a thirst for life, and we want the world to see it as such!” says Olga Severina, the Design Director of the project.

“Diamond Jam” is just the beginning of an ambitious 12-month journey that the team behind “The First Ukrainian Gallery US” is aiming to embark upon. “We envision “The First Ukrainian Gallery US” as a launching platform for artists and curators from Ukraine – a place where Ukrainian art can truly flourish,” says Maria Manuylenko, the Managing Director and Art Curator of the project. The creators’ goal is to introduce American audiences to the richness and diversity of Ukrainian culture while firmly establishing “The First Ukrainian Gallery US” as a prominent art hub in the bustling metropolis of New York.

If you happen to be in Soho this November, make sure to visit “Diamond Jam,” an exhibition that transcends borders, inviting you to embrace the beauty and artistic vision of people whose creativity knows no bounds. Explore the depths of Ukrainian artistry, connect with the stories woven into each piece, and witness the resilience and creative spirit of Ukrainian nation.
