10/1/2016 – Based in Provo, Utah, Mindy Haering created a new Halloween tradition that is also giving back. The couple has designed a plush toy bat called Little Bat Boo and the tradition is called Sneek-a-Boos. Little Bat Boo can bring treats, tricks and wholesome mischief to family members to brighten up their day.
After a late term miscarriage in 2013, the couple decided to start the tradition to add more happiness to their home during the Halloween season. However, it has now expanded, from the request of others, to be available to everyone, while also giving back to children in need. Reportedly, a significant portion of profits from every Sneek-a-Boos sale will be donated to The Shamba Foundation to help underprivileged and orphaned children.
A spokesperson made an official statement for the press release “Sneek-a-Boos is centered around a bat named Boo who flies around your house to bring your children a trick or a treat. The treats can of course be candy and the tricks can be good wholesome fun. Treats can also be notes of love or any act of kindness to help bring the family together”.
The spokesperson further added “It is our sincere hope that through the Sneek-a-Boo product you will not only create lasting memories with your own children but also benefit the children of The SHAMBA foundation”.
