Wiferion, the leading solution provider for mobile, wireless power supply for industrial e-vehicles, was recently featured in Logistics Today Magazine. Automated transport of small load carriers Magazino equips mobile robot with Wiferion’s inductive charging system. Read full article here.
Magazino relies fully on Wiferion’s inductive energy systems for its new SOTO 2 mobile robot. The robot transports small load carriers (SLC) fully autonomously from the warehouse to the production line. Thanks to wireless charging technology, the Munich-based robotics company integrates the energy supply into the value-adding process of the SOTO 2.
With SOTO 2, Magazino automates material supply in the manufacturing industry. The mobile robot transports small load carriers with components from the warehouse to the assembly line, collects the empties again and returns them to the warehouse. To make use of the system even more efficient and increase productivity, Magazino has integrated Wiferion’s energy systems into SOTO 2.
“In the supply process, SOTO stands at defined transfer stations during the loading and unloading of the small load carriers. In-process charging allows us to use these idle times to charge the battery without the robot having to interrupt its workflow,” explained Benjamin Sommer, Head of Sales & Marketing at Magazino.
Logistics Today is the expert logistics magazine for decision-makers in industry, trade, and the service sector tailored to the entire supply chain.
Wiferion educational session at ProMatDX will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at 9:00-9:30 am CDT.
About Wiferion
From inductive charging technology to energy management solutions, Wiferion offers a spectrum of products achieving efficient energy supply for industrial trucks, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), automated mobile robots (AMRs), and driverless transport systems. The technology also includes retrofit projects for existing fleets.
The flexible and scalable integration of Wiferion products means that users can sustainably increase utilization and fleet efficiency by up to 30%. Using lean manufacturing principles, Wiferion redefines the value stream mapping (VSM) by eliminating the unnecessary machine downtime and labor-intensive costs of plug-in charging.
From manufacturing to intralogistics, the Wiferion inductive battery charging system pioneered the etaLINK series which received prestigious awards such as the IFOY Award and “BEST PRODUCT” from LogiMAT.
Wiferion was founded in 2016 by four former employees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and one of the technology drivers in wireless charging. Wiferion is the foundation for a resource-saving and sustainable energy supply. Contact at: info@wiferion.com.
