Yevgeniy Kim is a successful businessman and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REDYL LLC, a wholesale and retail trade company for children’s clothing and footwear in Kazakhstan, as well as trading on Amazon in the United States.
Business and sports are two fields that have interested Yevgeniy since a young age, despite his parents’ involvement in music. Regular exercise has toughened his character, instilling in him such personal traits as diligence, perseverance, willpower, determination, and self-discipline, which are crucial for successful business management.
Dreaming of developing the tourism industry in Kazakhstan, Yevgeniy enrolled in Almaty University to study tourism management. However, his plans changed when he opened a retail store for children’s clothing in his hometown of Kaskelen in 2005, which brought in good income. Seizing on this new idea, the young man actively worked on expanding and developing the trading business. Seeking partners in China and opening a small wholesale store in Almaty led him to realize the need for a deeper understanding of the Chinese market. He pursued this by studying at Beijing Language and Culture University by specialty Bussiness Chinese in 2009.
After returning to his homeland, Yevgeniy continued to actively develop his wholesale business, helping other entrepreneurs find quality goods at good prices. The search for the best brands and factories, a well-developed logistics system, and the establishment of fast customs clearance of goods contributed to a significant expansion of the customer base and, consequently, an increase in the company’s profitability. The small warehouse where it all began now occupies an area of 800 square meters, and the number of regular customers has exceeded the thousand mark.
The retail trade sector did not go unnoticed by the businessman either. In 2012, he launched a chain of retail stores. Ongoing employee training, team building, a developed employee motivation system, management accounting automation, and the establishment of control over performance results contributed to annual sales growth.
However, success was not easy to come by. The path was filled with many problems that needed to be quickly and effectively resolved. Yevgeniy faced them head-on. Sports taught him how to take a hit. The businessman did not give up, even when he suffered huge losses as a result of a fire in one of the retail stores.
Today, Yevgeniy Kim, who moved to the United States in 2020, continues to confidently stride into the future. Successfully engaged in trading on Amazon, his plans include developing and scaling his business on the major trading platform, creating new jobs, and increasing sales turnover. He is also actively preparing to launch his own line of children’s clothing in Kazakhstan.
